Order and server setup problems

This page covers problems between clicking Order and getting into your new server. For the basic steps, see Your first server.

Why it happens: An order stays pending until its first invoice is paid. Some payments take a few minutes to confirm.

How to fix it:

  1. Log in at omnehosting.com and open Invoices.
  2. If the invoice is unpaid, pay it. See Payment problems.
  3. If it says paid, wait a few minutes and refresh Services.
  4. If it is still pending, open a ticket with your invoice number.

My server is not showing after I bought it

Section titled “My server is not showing after I bought it”

Why it happens: The server is created after payment is confirmed. This is usually quick, but it can take a few minutes.

How to fix it:

  1. Wait a few minutes, then refresh Services in the client area.
  2. Check that the invoice is marked paid.
  3. Check the panel at panel.omnehosting.com too. See Panel login.
  4. If nothing shows up, open a ticket with the invoice number and the plan you bought.

Why it happens: Provisioning is normally a matter of minutes. Delays can come from a slow payment confirmation or a server that is still installing.

How to fix it:

  1. If the panel says “This server is currently running its installation process and most actions are unavailable.”, wait for it to finish.
  2. Do not reinstall or cancel while it installs.
  3. If it takes much longer than expected, open a ticket with the invoice number.

Why it happens: Emails can land in spam, or the address on your account has a typo.

How to fix it:

  1. Check spam, junk and promotions folders.
  2. Search for messages from omnehosting.com.
  3. In the client area, check the email in Account for typos.
  4. If you need a new verification email, see Client area and account problems.
  5. The client area still shows your invoices and services even if the email never arrives.

Why it happens: The button is on the page of an active service, not on the main menu.

How to fix it:

  1. Log in at omnehosting.com.
  2. Open Services and click your service.
  3. Look for Access Panel on that page.
  4. If the service is still pending or suspended, the button may not work yet.
  5. You can always log in directly at panel.omnehosting.com instead.

Why it happens: Some plans have limited stock.

How to fix it:

  1. Try again later, stock changes.
  2. Look at other plans on the same game.
  3. Ask in Discord or open a ticket to find out when more will be available.

Why it happens: The free trial page shows one of these messages: “This trial is no longer available.”, “You have reached the limit for this trial.”, or “This trial is currently out of stock. Please check back later.”

How to fix it:

  1. Read the message shown. Each means something different.
  2. “Limit reached” means you already used it. Each trial has a per-account limit set by OmneHosting, usually one.
  3. “Out of stock” means try again later.
  4. See Free trial for details.

Why it happens: The message is “You must verify your email address before activating a free trial.” Trials need a verified email.

How to fix it:

  1. Check your inbox and spam for the verification email.
  2. Click the link in it.
  3. If it never arrived, request another on the verification page after you log in (see Client area and account problems), or open a ticket.
  4. Then try the trial again.

Free trial says the limit is reached for my network

Section titled “Free trial says the limit is reached for my network”

Why it happens: The message reads “Trial limit reached. A maximum of N trial(s) can be activated from your IP address.” Trials can be limited per network to prevent abuse. Shared networks, such as a school, a dorm or a mobile carrier, can hit this even if you never used a trial.

How to fix it:

  1. Try from a different network, such as your home connection.
  2. Turn off a VPN if you use one.
  3. If it still fails, open a ticket with your account email.

Free trial says “Failed to activate trial. Please try again.”

Section titled “Free trial says “Failed to activate trial. Please try again.””

Why it happens: Something went wrong when creating the trial server. It can be temporary.

How to fix it:

  1. Wait a minute and try once more.
  2. Check Services before trying again, in case the trial was created anyway.
  3. If it repeats, open a ticket with the time and what you saw.

Why it happens: Mistakes happen, and the first order can be refunded within a short window.

How to fix it:

  1. Open a ticket as soon as you notice, with the invoice number and what you meant to order.
  2. For a bigger plan of the same game, see Upgrading your plan.
  3. For refund rules, see Refunds. The 3-day (72 hour) guarantee is for the first purchase of a new game server plan. VPS services are not refundable.

Why it happens: OmneHosting currently offers one location, US West.

How to fix it:

  1. There is no other location to choose at this time.
  2. If latency is a problem, open a ticket and describe where you and your players are.

Why it happens: The name in the panel is separate from the service in the client area.

How to fix it:

  1. Open the server in the panel and go to Settings.
  2. Change the name in the General section and save.
  3. See Server settings.

My order was suspended right after purchase

Section titled “My order was suspended right after purchase”

Why it happens: Common reasons are a payment that was reversed or declined, or a service suspended under the Terms of Service. We cannot tell which from here, so check Invoices first.

How to fix it:

  1. Check Invoices for an unpaid or cancelled invoice.
  2. If the panel says “This server is currently suspended and the functionality requested is unavailable.”, open a ticket.
  3. Include your order or invoice number so we can look it up.

Why it happens: New customers often are not sure where to start.

How to fix it:

  1. Open Services in the client area and click Access Panel, or log in at panel.omnehosting.com.
  2. Click your server, then Console.
  3. Press Start and wait for the status to show Online.
  4. Follow Your first server.
