Server Importer
The Server Importer copies your files from another host straight into your OmneHosting server. Open Server Importer in the left menu (under Utilities).
The page says: Migrate your files from another host over SFTP or FTP. Your server must be offline and will stay locked until the import finishes.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Stop your server and wait until it shows Offline.
- Make a backup of anything on your OmneHosting server that you want to keep.
- Get the login details for your old server: the address, username, password, and port. Your old host should show them in its panel.
Import your files
Section titled “Import your files”- Choose the Protocol: SFTP (SSH) or FTP.
- Enter the Port of the old server.
- Enter the Host. Use the hostname or IP address only. Do not include
sftp://and do not add:port, because the port has its own box. - Enter your Username and Password.
- Enter the Remote folder that holds your server files.
- Press Connect & Browse to connect to the old server and look at its files.
The server stays locked while the import runs. Wait for it to finish before you start the server.
- Large servers can take a while to transfer.
- After the import, check the startup settings and your software version. See Startup settings and, for Minecraft, Change your Minecraft version.
