How to join your Bedrock server: address, port, allow list
Use this page when your Bedrock server is running and you want to connect to it. To set up the server first, see Set up your Minecraft Bedrock server.
Join from Windows, phone, or tablet
Section titled “Join from Windows, phone, or tablet”- In the panel, start the server and wait until it says Online.
- Open the Network page and note the address and the port. See Network and ports.
- In Minecraft Bedrock Edition, open Play, then Servers, then Add Server.
- Enter any Server Name you like.
- Set Server Address to the address shown on Network (for Omne Bedrock servers this is
15.204.8.117). - Set Port to your server’s own port from the panel, for example
25569. Do not use19132unless that is the port the panel shows for your server. - Save, then select the server and press Join.
Let your friends in (allow list)
Section titled “Let your friends in (allow list)”New servers start with the allow list on. If a player is refused, add them from the Console:
allowlist add <gamertag>Use the exact gamertag, in quotes if it has spaces. To let anyone join instead, set allow-list to false on the Properties page. See Set up your Minecraft Bedrock server.
Restart after changing settings
Section titled “Restart after changing settings”Most property changes only take effect after a restart. After you edit Properties or Startup, press Restart and wait for Online again. Players are disconnected while it restarts.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”I cannot connect
Section titled “I cannot connect”- Check the server is Online and the Console shows
Server started. - Re-check the address and port. A wrong or missing port is the most common cause.
- Restart the server, wait a minute, and try again.
- If it still does not answer, open a ticket with your server name and the port. See Contact support. Include the last lines of the Console.
Version mismatch (“Outdated client” or “Outdated server”)
Section titled “Version mismatch (“Outdated client” or “Outdated server”)”The game and the server must run the same version. Update Minecraft on your device, or set Bedrock Version on Startup to the version your players use, then restart. Back up first. See Backups and Minecraft Bedrock server problems.
Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch players
Section titled “Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch players”Consoles have no Add Server option in the game, so they cannot type an address directly. Workarounds that use a friend list or a special DNS service exist in the wider Bedrock community, but Omne does not officially support them and cannot troubleshoot them. Windows, phone, and tablet players can join normally. Open a ticket if you want to ask what works.
It is laggy or the server is slow
Section titled “It is laggy or the server is slow”A view-distance of 32 is heavy on a small plan such as 1 GB. Set view-distance to 10 to 16 on Properties, save, and restart.
